Medes - I learnt to dive here 5 years ago and have dived the islands many times since. Though the marine life cannot be compared to the likes of the Red Sea, for either the diversity or the abundance of, these islands are something special. The weather can be a bit 'hit and miss' dependant upon the time of year you visit and some of the swells I have experienced at the largest of the islands (Meda gran) certainly test the diver. All in all a good place to dive and home of some of the biggest grouper you will encounter, with a strange liking of boiled eggs!!!!
